As part of the NOTE D’ESTATE festival, which brings music to the villages of the Baveno hamlets, a concert by the band I Belzeblues: a journey through time – a respectful and grateful tribute – to discover a powerful and universal form of musical expression. I Belzeblues have traced the genre’s roots to understand how and why the Blues came into being, how and when it took shape, following its evolution and spread. To speak of the Blues is to speak of everything that Black Americans have endured, but it also means speaking of the malaise pervading our era – which many call ‘the age of anxiety’ but which might perhaps also be defined as ‘the century of the Blues’;
